We started the Porch Swing Collective to access additional support as our businesses grew. We recognize that we’re stronger together, and sharing resources outside of a traditional team grants us greater flexibility than a top-down environment.

Our Philosophy

At the Porch Swing Collective, we believe in a true work-life balance—one that actively rejects the real estate industry’s self-destructive hustle culture. Instead, we believe in balancing hard work with a fulfilling life.

Still, we have big goals, and the Collective helps us achieve them. The Collective’s resources allow us to cost-effectively outsource the responsibilities we’re not skilled at, empowering us to grow and succeed in the process.

Our Support

We support agents by supporting their relationships with clients and investing in the resources agents need to excel. Our goal is to help real estate agents create a sustainable lifestyle by providing resources based on their collective needs. That includes:

    • At least four in-person events per year

    • Client closing gifts

    • Notecards and mailing support

  • Support in creating custom business development strategies to assist in lead generation and consistent, scalable growth.

  • The Collective provides:

    • Shared time to develop and execute marketing strategy

    • Shared marketing budget from Compass and the Collective

    • Shared equipment, such as a 3D camera

  • As much as we love our work and clients, it’s important to step away to refresh sometimes. As real estate agents, it can be difficult to trust someone else will manage your business like you would, and it can be expensive to pay a high-quality agent to cover for you while you are out of the office.

    In the Porch Swing Collective, we have a system to accrue vacation time based on production, and you have a consistent, experienced agent stepping in for you while you’re out to ensure your clients get the same level of excellent service until you get back.

  • As part of the Collective, you’ll join a welcoming, supportive community that builds relationships and expands your influence in the Pittsburgh community. Plus, you’ll have an opportunity to help guide and drive the Collective’s growth!
